About Us
Haywards Heath (Mid Sussex) 0524 branch was formed at the end of May 1946! There were 5 members and the first meeting was in fact held in a garden shed in the garden of Maxwelton House in Boltro Road, Haywards Heath….only because the ATC lent it to us!!
After a few hiccups the branch became firmly established and currently we have 183(March 2009) with a couple in the pipeline. We have a good attendance rate at our monthly meetings which are held one month at the Mid Sussex Conservative Club, Cyprus Road in Burgess Hill and the following month at The United Services Club in Wivelsfield Road, Haywards Heath.
We have several speakers at our meetings throughout the year, run coach outings and branch events like our Strawberry Tea in June culminating in our Christmas Party – complete with Santa. All good fun.
We are always interested in recruiting more members either full members (who have served or are serving in the Royal Air Force, including National Service), or Associate members who are people who either have associations with the RAF or are interested in our cause. Come along, you will be made welcome.
