One of the main aims of the Association is to help raise funds foir The Battle of Britain WINGS APPEAL which is held annually around the date of The Battle of Britain – September 15th. We have collecting days at Tesco and Sainsburys prior to the 15th September and then collect in local towns and villages on the Saturday closest to the 15th September. We also have fund raising events during the year, the major one being our Charity Band Concert with the Central Band of the Royal Air Force. This is currently held at The Croft Hall, Burgess Hill School for Girls in May and details are publicised well in advance. We also attend the various events arranged by the local Town Council such as the Spring Festival, the Town Show and the Christmas Event. Not only does this raise awareness of our Association but is a great help to boosting our funds for WINGS APPEAL. Weather permitting, in the summer we also have a Strawberry Tea for members and friends, .
